How can I make a lock?

I got these medieval-style keys at an old flea market, really simple shaped & made of heavy iron. I'd love to make a lock that they'd work on - but can't find a how to for locks. Keys and picks seem to be all over the place, but I just need a simple how-to for making a matching lock. Any help?
